Starting on Monday, March 4 and running through Thursday, March 8, the ASC Health and Wellness Services, The Kaleidoscope Coalition, Student Senate and Student Life will be sponsoring “SAFE SPRING Break.” The continuing event will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the Upper Level of CDH and will be offering health and safety information for Spring Break Travel as well as safety tips of all kinds. Along with information, fun surprises everyone can use will be distributed. There is also a speaker on Thursday, Mark Sterner, who will be presenting DUI: A POWERFUL LESSON. More than 2 million college and high school students have heard Mark Sterner’s amazing and tragic story of how three months before graduation, Mark and four of his fraternity brothers—and best friends—headed to Spring Break. On the final night, they decided the least drunk would drive home. By the next morning, three of the men were dead, and Mark lay in the hospital critically injured and facing three felony counts of DUI manslaughter. Instead of being the first in his family to graduate college, Mark ended up the first member of his family to go to prison for his role in the tragic death of his three friends.
Mark Sterner is sponsored by Health and Wellness Services, The Kaleidoscope Coalition, Student Senate and Student Life.
