CELEBRATE THE HIGH HOLY DAYS WITH ALFRED HILLEL

Hillel at Alfred invites everyone to come celebrate the Jewish High Holy Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur with them. A Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) dinner will be held at Howell Hall on the campus of Alfred University at 5:30 PM on Sunday, September 16. The cost is $5.00 for Hillel members; $10.00 for non-members. Everyone is invited to services at Temple Beth El, 12 Church Street, Hornell, NY. Evening service on September 16 starts at 7:45 PM. Anyone needing transportation to Hornell for services should meet at Howell Hall at 6:45 PM. Morning services on Monday, September 17 and Tuesday September 18 will begin at 8:30 AM. Again, transportation to Hornell will be provided. For morning services, please meet at the Alfred University physical plant building at 8:15 AM.

For Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) a prefast dinner will be held at Howell Hall at 5:15 PM on Tuesday, September 25. The dinner cost again is $5.00 for Hillel members; $10.00 for non-members. Kol Nidre Services will begin at Temple Beth El at 7:00 PM. For transportation to Hornell meet at Howell Hall at 6:30 PM. Yom Kippur morning services will begin at 8:30 AM, Wednesday, September 26. Those needing a ride to Hornell should meet at the Alfred University physical plant building at 8:15 AM. Concluding services begin Wednesday evening at 5:30 PM. There will be a free Break Fast meal following services at Temple Beth El.
