The Admissions Office is currently looking for student leaders who would like to become part of the Alfred State student ambassador team. Student ambassadors are dynamic leaders in the College community and in the classroom and help provide a lasting impression of the College. The student ambassador position is a highly prestigious position on campus that allows students to build valuable career skills like problem-solving, public speaking, and communication.
As a student ambassador, you will have the opportunity to share the inside scoop on ASC and make a positive impact on prospective students and their families. As an added bonus you will earn some extra spending money!
Applications for the Spring 2013 semester are available for the following positions:
Alfred Campus Tour Guides: Students would be part of a dynamic, close-knit team responsible for conducting campus tours, interacting with visiting families, office work, special projects, and recruitment-related activities. Must be available to work two weekends per semester.
Student Callers: Students must be able to work independently, contacting prospective students via telephone during evening hours. Willingness to work occasional weekends and between classes to assist in on-campus visitation programs is desirable.
Student Hosts: Students would be responsible for occasionally hosting prospective students overnight. This position also includes assisting the Admissions Office with special visitation programs.
